About Bledisloe Park
The park is named after Charles Bathurst, 1st Viscount Bledisloe, who served as Governor-General of New Zealand in the early 1930s. It has functioned as Pukekohe’s main recreation ground for decades and accommodates multiple sports simultaneously on its large grounds.
The skate area includes a concrete bowl and grind rails suitable for skateboarding, BMX, and scooters. It forms part of the open park and requires no formal entry. It is smaller than the main Pukekohe Skatepark, which is a separate park on Stadium Drive, about a kilometre away.
The Bledisloe Sports Centre, designed by Pacific Environments and completed in 2016, provides a bar and restaurant overlooking the fields along with meeting and event spaces. It serves as the clubhouse for both Pukekohe AFC and Pukekohe Metro Cricket Club.
