What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from March 2023. This kind of report sets out what the school and ERO have agreed to evaluate together rather than giving achievement findings.

The agreed focus is lifting writing, so that results catch up with reading and mathematics, through targeted teaching. ERO noted a positive learning culture built around ongoing improvement, and professional learning planned around what students and teachers need.

The school’s next priorities are closer learning partnerships with parents and whānau, so families understand and take part in their children’s learning, and more targeted professional learning to help teachers plan and teach in response to students. ERO’s next public report on the school will be a School Evaluation Report.
