What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from March 2023.

ERO described a small rural school between Bombay and the Hunua Ranges. It found leadership that builds a collaborative team culture, is open to change and keeps a focus on continuous improvement, along with a commitment to professional learning that grows teachers’ knowledge and skills.

ERO and the school are evaluating how well its programmes and practices are lifting literacy outcomes for all students, while making teaching more consistent across the school. The school’s priorities are to take targeted actions so literacy outcomes are more equitable, and to develop a more strategic approach to internal evaluation that shapes planning, teaching and learning.
