What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from August 2023. It sets out the evaluation the school and ERO agreed to work on together: how well a responsive local curriculum is lifting student outcomes, with learning progressions to guide next steps in teaching.

ERO noted the school’s work with the Waiuku Kāhui Ako on curriculum development, a professional learning plan for teaching Aotearoa New Zealand histories through a local lens, and a well-established Enviroschools programme.

Next, the school plans to keep taking part in the Waiuku Kāhui Ako and its professional learning to design and deliver the curriculum, and to review what is working, and for whom, to guide its next steps. ERO’s next public report on the school will be a School Evaluation Report.
