What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from June 2023. ERO found an inclusive learning climate that supports every learner, school values that show up in everyday practice, and a teaching team that works together to improve its practice.

ERO and the school are evaluating how well local curriculum design is lifting equity and excellence for all learners, with a focus on bringing more te ao Māori into the curriculum and giving Māori students more chances to succeed as Māori.

The school’s priorities are to develop its curriculum planning framework so te ao Māori is deliberately included, and to strengthen internal evaluation so it can see more clearly what is working, for whom and why.
