What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from March 2025. ERO found that most learners meet or exceed the expected curriculum level in reading, writing and mathematics, and that teaching is consistent and well planned across the school, with a strong emphasis on literacy and maths.
Students who need extra help are identified early, learners with complex needs are well supported, and ERO described school planning, leadership and evaluation as well established, with engagement, wellbeing and inclusion well promoted.
ERO noted that results are not yet equitable for all groups of learners in any of the three areas, that regular attendance is still approaching the 80% target, and that progress for the learners most at risk has improved only to some extent since the previous review.
The agreed next steps are to check how well the attendance plan is working, to speed up progress for Māori learners in reading, writing and mathematics, and to bring in the changes to the English and mathematics curriculum.
