Stand-downs and suspensions
Cases per 1,000 students in 2025, adjusted for the ages of the school’s students, compared with all New Zealand schools.
Suspensions: fewer than 5 cases in 2025, so no rate is shown.
These measure how a school responds to behaviour, and schools set their own thresholds, so they are not a measure of how students behave.
What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from October 2025. ERO found high quality teaching in reading, writing and mathematics, a rich curriculum, good support for learners with complex needs, and well established planning and conditions for improvement.
A large majority of learners meet or exceed the expected curriculum level in reading and in mathematics, but only a small majority do so in writing. Results are equitable in mathematics and becoming more equitable in reading and writing.
Attendance is a concern ERO raised: a small majority of learners attend regularly, and the school is approaching but not yet at the government’s 80% target, with a plan in development and rates improving.
ERO’s key priorities are raising achievement in reading, writing and mathematics with fairer results across groups, analysing rates of accelerated progress, embedding structured mathematics teaching, updating assessment practice and lifting attendance.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places.
Families can enrol in person or online. The school’s enrolment and zone page lists the documents to bring, such as proof of age and an immunisation certificate, and shows the zone map. International students have their own section of the website.
