What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from November 2025. ERO found success and progress increasing, teaching of high quality in reading, writing and mathematics, and learners with complex needs well supported.

A large majority of learners meet or exceed the expected curriculum level in reading, a small majority in writing, and most in mathematics. ERO noted a caring, inclusive environment, a curriculum that keeps students engaged in a multi-level classroom, and teaching approaches that speed up progress in mathematics.

Attendance is a concern: a majority of learners attend regularly, which is behind the Government target, though ERO found it improving and the school developing a plan to lift it.

ERO’s two priorities are raising regular attendance and embedding literacy planning and progressions so more students make faster progress, especially in writing. The board confirmed it meets all regulatory requirements reviewed.
