What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from April 2025. ERO found success and progress increasing, high quality teaching, rich learning opportunities and a consistent approach to teaching across the school, with students who need extra help identified early and challenging mathematics for those ready for it.

Most learners meet or exceed the expected curriculum level in reading and in writing, and almost all do so in mathematics. Results in writing and mathematics are not yet equitable for all groups, and reading results are becoming more equitable. Attendance is approaching the Government target and improving.

The agreed next steps are to keep attendance gains going, speed up progress for Pacific learners in reading, writing and mathematics so results become more equitable, build more te reo Māori, tikanga Māori and te ao Māori into the curriculum, and develop a graduate profile for students moving on from the school. ERO’s next public report on the school will be a School Evaluation Report.
