What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Evaluation Report from July 2024. Since its previous review the school has made big gains in mathematics, with accelerated progress for the students who most needed it.

ERO found that most learners achieve at or above curriculum expectations in reading, writing and mathematics, that outcomes for Māori learners are becoming more equitable, and that most students attend regularly. Students with additional needs are well supported, and te reo Māori, tikanga and te ao Māori are woven through the curriculum.

The agreed next steps are targeted work to lift reading and writing in line with the gains made in mathematics, helping teachers manage change in ways that benefit their teaching, and building teachers’ evaluation skills through a school-wide evaluation cycle.

Enrolling

Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol using the online form on the school’s enrolment page, which also has the zone map and the enrolment scheme policy.

Out-of-zone applicants use the ballot form rather than the online form, and a ballot is held when there are more applicants than places. The school publishes its out-of-zone places and ballot dates on its enrolment page each year.
