What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from September 2023.

ERO described a rural school near Waiuku with strong links to its local community and an active part in the Waiuku Kāhui Ako. It found collaborative, strategic leadership with a strong focus on improvement, well-developed systems and practices that set up the conditions students need to succeed, and consistent teaching within a positive school culture that is building staff skills in evaluation.

ERO and the school are evaluating how well the curriculum challenges students to excel and supports equitable outcomes for all learners. The school’s priorities are to keep strengthening its shared approach to equity and excellence, and to keep taking targeted actions that align its teaching with the national and local curriculum and stretch learners.
